The short answer
Yes, again. Uber relaunched in Morocco on 27 November 2025, first in Casablanca and Marrakech, using only licensed transport vehicles (UberX and UberXL). In July 2026 it added Agadir and Tangier and reinforced Casablanca and Rabat. Airport pickups are not mentioned in any announcement, so for arrivals check the app or pre-book a fixed-price car.
What changed in 2025?
Uber first ran in Casablanca from 2015 until 2018. Its November 2025 return works differently: rides are carried out exclusively by licensed transport vehicles, booked as UberX or UberXL in the app. Private individuals driving their own cars are not part of it.

What about other ride apps?
Morocco's Interior Ministry has stated that carrying passengers in a private car booked through an app, without a transport licence, is prohibited, and that checks are carried out to sanction it (July 2025). Apps that rely on private cars therefore operate outside the licensed framework; we cannot vouch for them.
What about Careem?
Careem has belonged to Uber since January 2020 and kept its own app in Morocco. In December 2025 TelQuel reported that Careem drivers in Casablanca and Rabat were being moved to the Uber Driver app, while a Careem official said nothing was changing for riders. A taxi-union leader quoted in the same article counts Careem among the apps he says operate without authorisation. We can't confirm what Careem offers at CMN today: check the app when you land.
Petit taxi or grand taxi?
Without an app you will meet Morocco's two kinds of taxi. A petit taxi works inside city limits only, carries up to three passengers and is painted in its city's colour (red in Casablanca). Some cities require the meter, and fares after 9 p.m. are generally higher.
A grand taxi runs between towns. It is usually shared: it follows a set route and leaves when every seat is sold. You can also charter the whole car, at a price agreed before you set off.

None of Uber's Moroccan announcements mention airport pickups, so we can't confirm that you can book one at Mohammed V (CMN). Open the app when you land to see what it offers.
